Donald E. Budmen

Donald E. Budmen is a graduate of SUNY Oneonta (B.S. 1977; M.S. 1983) and Cornell Law School (J.D., magna cum laude, 1990). Prior to joining Ferrara, Fiorenza, Larrison, Barrett & Reitz, Mr. Budmen was a partner at Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, where he served as chair of that firm’s School Law Practice Group and Co-Chair of its International/Immigration Law Practice Group. He is a frequent lecturer in these practice areas, including topics such as sexual harassment, student discipline, search and seizure, mandated abuse reporting, religion in the schools, attendance issues, safety and security, confidentiality, public meetings and records, ethics, non-immigrant visas, permanent residency, and workforce verification (I-9 issues). He represents the Ferrara-Fiorenza firm’s school law clients in general, business and labor law matters and its public and private sector clients in immigration matters.

Mr. Budmen was admitted to practice in New York State and in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York in 1991. He is a member of the New York State and Onondaga County Bar Associations, the New York State Association of School Attorneys, Inc., the National School Boards Association Council of School Attorneys, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Mr. Budmen serves on the Executive Board of the New York State Association of School Attorneys, Inc.
