Norman H. Gross

Norman H. Gross graduated in 1969 from Syracuse University with a B.A. in American Studies and received his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law in 1972. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1974. Mr. Gross has been a member of the New York State Association of School Attorneys since 1983, serving as Honorary Director from 1988 to 1990, and a member of the National School Boards Association Council of School Attorneys Board of Directors from 1985 to 1989. He is also a member of the Government Employee Relations Committee of the New York State Bar Association. 

Before entering private practice, Mr. Gross served as an attorney for the New York State School Boards Association for twelve years, the last four of which he served as Counsel. Prior to joining NYSSBA, he served as an attorney with the New York Education Department’s Office of Counsel. During his professional career, Mr. Gross has developed and maintained an excellent reputation in providing legal advice and services to Board Members, School Administrators, and School Attorneys throughout the state. 

He is a frequent speaker and panelist on regional, statewide and national programs relating to topics of interest in the fields of education law and employment law.
