Allison Marley focuses her practice on representing and advising public school districts and BOCES across New York State on a wide range of education law matters—helping clients manage risk while maintaining effective school operations. She partners with boards of education, superintendents, and other administrators to deliver practical, legally sound counsel aligned with the operational and governance needs of public school systems.

Allison counsels boards of education on governance, compliance, and risk management, and supports district and BOCES leadership on high-level operational issues. She also advises districts and BOCES on student discipline, including superintendent’s hearings and disciplinary determinations.

In the labor and employment context, Allison counsels and represents districts and BOCES on employee discipline, performance, and misconduct matters. She provides strategic guidance on collective bargaining, grievance administration, and arbitration, as well as day-to-day labor relations issues. She also conducts workplace investigations involving alleged misconduct and discrimination, counseling districts and BOCES on appropriate remedial actions and ongoing compliance.

In addition to her practice, Allison teaches the law course for the School District Business Leader Certification Program at SUNY Brockport.
