Election Inspectors are responsible for efficiently and effectively managing the school district annual meeting and general election, including the counting of votes after polls close. This training is designed specifically for the individuals appointed to work at the school district election, although District Clerks and other administrators may wish to attend.

Topics will include efficient operations on the day of the vote, electioneering, the rules for counting (and voiding) ballots, and election documentation.

Different rules apply to certain election procedures depending on the type of school district involved, and the number of polling sites used. Therefore, two different sessions will be offered:

  • 10:30 am – 12:00 pm – “Small City” School Districts and Union Free or Central School Districts using multiple polling locations.

    If your school district only has one polling station, click here to register for our other session at 8:30 am.

Training will be provided virtually, and School Districts are encouraged to have as many Election Inspectors present as possible.

Cost: $99 per district
